Rapid technological changes, short product life cycles and intense competitive pressures also remain concerns for Atmel. However, Atmel has been attempting to build up its Internet of Things capabilities by acquiring multiple connectivity technologies. The company also expects gross margin expansion through technological tie-ups and new product launches.”
